The Experience
A place to breathe again.
Waystream brings men into the mountains for four days of rest, prayer, meals, fieldcraft, honest conversation, and brotherhood, with space for God to do the deeper work.
What it is
Not a conference. Not a clinic. Not a support group.
Waystream is a Christ-centered immersion experience for men in survivorship or medically stable maintenance seasons after cancer. Held in remote mountain cabins transformed into formation spaces, Waystream combines faith, fellowship, fieldcraft, guided teaching, acoustic worship, first-class hospitality, restorative bodywork, creative reflection, and lasting brotherhood.
Cancer is the context. It is not the identity.
Why it exists
Cancer can shrink a man's world.
The appointments, scans, side effects, fatigue, fear, body changes, and private pressure can slowly pull a man away from himself, his relationships, his faith, and his purpose.
Many men keep functioning while quietly carrying anxiety, isolation, depression, marital strain, sexual challenges, spiritual numbness, and the sense that they are no longer the man they were.
Waystream creates a sacred space where men can step out of survival mode and make room for God to meet them in the middle of their story.
The arc
Release. Reclaim. Restore. Return.
Release
Lay down the hidden weight of fear, grief, control, shame, anger, and exhaustion.
Reclaim
Remember who you are beyond diagnosis, treatment, scans, scars, symptoms, and fear.
Restore
Receive rest, prayer, beauty, brotherhood, nature, nourishment, creativity, and the presence of God.
Return
Go home with brothers, practices, purpose, and a clearer sense of how to live beyond cancer.

Fieldcraft
Outside, men remember strength differently.
Waystream uses the wilderness as part of the formation experience. Fieldcraft is not about proving toughness. It is about attention, skill, patience, humility, presence, and reconnecting with the created world.

Restorative Bodywork
Rest is not an afterthought.
Each man receives one 90-minute restorative bodywork session with a trauma-informed, cancer-aware massage therapist. This is designed to help men breathe, release tension, reconnect with their bodies, and receive care in a safe and respectful setting.
